"My husband worked at this restaurant and I’m writing this for him from his view," she said. "I used to work here and I had the same experience, but this is from his specific view through my writing."
Along with telling a story of wrongful termination by a horrid boss and owner, she also shared a dozen photos demonstrating the restaurant's torrid cleanliness. Here is that story, along with the photos. -

I worked at a restaurant for 4 years. I gave everything. My mental health, my body, all the time I had. This restaurant is run extremely poor and is absolutely disgusting. Let me start at the beginning. -
3.
I started as a busser and throughout the years worked up the chain as a head cook. The head manager was an aggressive man, who constantly spouted his q anon alt right opinions every single day. He constantly broke labor laws, lying about hiring wages, telling us not to talk about our wages to one another, allowing workers to work sick, and serving old food to save labor costs. -
4.
We reported to him that one of the head cooks was hitting on and having relations with servers, and being very vulgar to other workers. He even hit on my wife, and they did nothing because the head cook had seniority. -

One day I tested positive for Covid and they told me I still had to come in. My wife, who also had Covid, came with me because we were so sick she didn’t want to be alone. She laid outside on the sidewalk. She informed my boss that I had thrown up in the kitchen and he said because he didn’t see it, it didn’t happen in his book. -

He would lie and make fun of customers that had food allergies and would lie to them about accommodation. He would tell me I got a raise and would “forget” to put it in for many weeks at a time. He would refuse to write up other workers out of fear of them quitting, but expected us to pick up the slack. -
7.
They would stack raw chicken on the same shelf as raw beef, which is a huge no-no. And they said roaches weren’t a problem as long as we didn’t see them. -

The day I quit:
I had arrived and hour before the restaurant opened and nothing had been done. No food had been made, no machines were on, and everything was a mess. The two workers that were supposed to open had arrived late because, “we knew you were coming in so we thought you’d do it,” then they offered me a dab. -

I went up to the manager when he came in, (not the same one from before), and told him that I was tired of how disgusting the restaurant was, and how I was forced to do everything and everyone’s job. He just agreed. I went on to work and thought about quitting. At the end of my shift I put in my two weeks. They said “okay,” which was odd considering they would have tried to convince any other worker to stay, and I was the best worker they had. -

I went to work the next day just fine. But today, (my day off), my coworker messaged my wife saying I had been permanently taken off the schedule. This was news to me. I immediately went in and asked for a letter of termination for unemployment. They gave it to me but said in the letter that my behavior and actions that day were what was terminating me. They said I yelled and threw equipment and made other workers uncomfortable, none of which is true. They also said I did not return company property, all I have are the keys, but they didn’t even tell me I was fired until I went in to ask for the termination letter, so they haven’t asked for the keys. -

Here are photos I took a few weeks ago of the kitchen. This is what it always looked like. We even had a grease fire this year that engulfed the back wall in flames. One time we had a fire on a fryer, and the boss yelled at a worker who used a fire extinguisher because then he "had to fill out fire extinguisher paperwork." -

I have experiences galore of this awful work environment, I just wanted to share my experience here because of how much of my life I have wasted on this establishment. -
